Description This position is responsible for assisting hotel guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Creates a welcoming and inviting breakfast/evening social room by providing superior customer service to guests. Responsible for set-up, maintenance and take-down of the breakfast/evening social room. Ensures food and beverage station is maintained, and adheres to all safety and health regulations. Follows CSM high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.


KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

1. Guest Service: Anticipates and responds to guests needs in a positive and timely manner, providing the highest level of quality service to the guest. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary. Understands and follows CSM guest service recovery program.

2. Cost Control: Accountable for ensuring food and beverage standards are met and aligned with expected occupancy to ensure cost controls are in place and reduce waste. Responsible for proper use of all equipment.

3. Safety/Risk Management: Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Dispenses and serves food and beverages in accordance with local and state regulations. Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.

4. Self Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to CSM attendance policy, grooming/appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Prior serving or customer service experience preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment.

Physical: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
