Job/Internship Description

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Job Purpose

Dana Incorporated is seeking to an EHS Intern at their Toledo Driveline Facility in Toledo, OH. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills by working alongside Dana's EHS, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams in the completion of departmental oriented tasks/assignments. This position is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills acquired in school and apply them in a manufacturing environment under the direct supervision of the Toledo Driveline EHS Team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist EHS team with projects aimed at compliance assurance, incident reduction, and program consistency between sites.
* Assist with Job Safety Risk Assessments and corresponding Hazard and Risk Registry and Operational Control.
* Policy and training program development: the intern will assist with development of a safety policy and training program based on an OSHA regulation.
* Participate in preparing and submitting internal and external reports and related documentation.
* Assist in Internal/External EHS Audits; not limited to Compliance, Loss Prevention, Internal Audit, ISO14001:45001.
* Participating in incident investigations, field audits, and other incident causation and prevention activities.
* Assist in New-Hire Orientation, and routine EHS Training.
* Participating in emergency planning and response activities


Requirements:
* Enrollment of a Bachelor of Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering.
* Self-directed & motivated individual with great organizational skills.
* Experience with Manufacturing or Assembly and/or EHS experience a plus.
* Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
* Full-time availability.
* Good oral, written and presentation skills.
* Must be able to interface in a team environment.
