Job Description

Osborn Consulting is looking for a CADD Manager to join our Alternative Delivery Practice supporting projects around the Puget Sound region. This position will also lead the CADD coordination between Alternative Delivery, Natural Resources, and Transportation Drainage Practices. This position will focus on large and small projects related to stormwater management, drainage design, stream restoration, and fish habitat improvements.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 10+ years drafting/design experience in civil engineering field (additional coursework or college degree may reduce experience required).
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and practices in the areas of CADD and Bentley applications including MicroStation, Inroads, OpenRoads, and ProjectWise.
  • Excellent client service skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience working on large PS&E projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to thrive and make an impact in a fast-paced office environment: assertive, resourceful and a problem solver.

To thrive in this position, you may also have these qualifications:

  • Experience with WSDOT guidelines / procedures / plan preparation.
  • Experience with various project delivery methods - design bid build, traditional design build, progressive design build, GEC, and design build pursuits.
  • Knowledge of GIS terminology and importing GIS and LIDAR data.

About the Position

In this role, you'll work with a highly collaborative team of engineers and civil technicians to:

  • Collaborate with Practice Leads on deliverable deadlines to help manage CADD resources. Coordinate cross-practice standards and best practices for MicroStation projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and engineers obtaining project information to ensure drawings are accurate and completed on time and within allocated budgets.
  • Coordinate closely with Clients and their CADD teams to determine project CADD requirements, assist in establishing standards for projects, and support project managers to help drive a successful project.
  • Coordinate with the Osborn Consulting Design Technology Manager to implement project CAD standards, setup, and execution.
  • Lead and provide feedback and ideas to improve CADD workflow and standards across Practices.
  • Manage preparation of Civil Engineering drawings during the planning, permitting, design, and construction phases.
  • Mentor project staff as needed.
  • Provide QA/QC of CADD drawings and design files as required.


Location

This position must report to our Bellevue office at least 3 times a week.
