We are seeking to hire a Data Scientist to build and mentor a Data and Analytics team. As a Data Scientist, you will help us manage and make use of data to create innovative client solutions and improve operational processes that rely on data. You will collaborate closely with a team of technology professionals, project managers, engineers, planners, and clients to understand their data needs, design and implement solutions, perform data analysis and visualization, and communicate insights and recommendations. You will also contribute to the development and improvement of our data platforms and tools, such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI and be a key member of the team tasked with leading Parametrix through digital transformation.

This role has the potential for hybrid work arrangements if the candidate resides near a Parametrix office location (i.e. Seattle, Portland, Boise). Alternatively, we are also considering remote options for suitable candidates.

Position Focus:

Data Collection and Management: You will collect, clean, transform, and securely store data from diverse sources including databases, APIs, files, and surveys.

Data Analysis and Interpretation: Apply advanced machine learning techniques and artificial intelligence to explore, analyze, and derive insights from data.

Data Visualization and Communication: Design and maintain visually stunning and intuitive dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively visualize and communicate key data findings.

Collaboration and Solution Provisioning: You'll join forces with project teams and clients to comprehend their data needs and deliver customized, data-driven solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Research and evaluate emerging data sources, methodologies, and technologies to enhance the organization's data capabilities and elevate data quality.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document and disseminate data processes, methodologies, and best practices to foster transparency and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications:

Education: bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 3+ years demonstrable experience in data science and analysis; AEC industry related experience a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, SQL, ETL, and other data processing, analysis and programming languages and tools. Experience with Microsoft products, such as Fabric, Power BI, Azure, etc. Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus.

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $140,000-$175,000+. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program. We are transparent in our salary discussions and look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure and the value of being an employee-owner.
