Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and skilled Financial Analyst to join our Stanley FP&A team. The Financial Analyst will be a key business partner to Stanley North America Sales & Marketing Operations, supporting financial reporting, planning, and providing critical analysis for decision making. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with a high-growth brand and sales region. We have ambitions for aggressive growth and profitability targets. You will help us think big, while promoting a balanced perspective rooted in data, build strong partnerships across the business, champion significant performance metrics throughout the organization, and seek process improvements to efficiently scale our growth. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Global Finance, this role will provide value across the Stanley organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting of sales and marketing organization's operating expenses, including eCommerce marketing expenses, commission, royalties, and key account support.
  • Support the region's strategic sales initiatives, including tracking and reporting the progresses and the expenditures associated, assisting in external partner relations management, e.g. providing information or analysis for contract negotiation, coordinating royalty payment and contract exit.
  • Develop financial reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to inform leadership and business partners of financial results and profitability levers, including sales, margin, and OPEX.
  • Focus on improving visibility to various financial levers, including sales, profitability, royalties, sales discounts, customer allowance, returns and operating expenses. Develop KPIs to assist in evaluation of the efficiency of performance marketing investment.
  • Assist in creating data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Build strong business partnership across various functions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Operations, Accounting, Account Receivable (AR) and Account Payable (AP) to identify and drive for operational improvement, while solving issues through financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support the month-end close process through variance analysis and reconciliation for sales and operating expenses.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate accruals and GL Account coding.
  • Perform various ad hoc financial analysis to support management business decisions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis with progressive scope and accountability.
  • Excel power user with demonstrated ability to build advanced reports and analyze large-sized raw data with in-depth complexity.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and working knowledge of ERP, Essbase/SmartView are required. Data warehousing knowledge and skills are critical. Data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, SQL, PowerBI experience are preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of month end accounting processes as well as in-depth analysis experience in results and variances.
  • Effective communicator in written word and oral delivery; adapt well to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to navigate highly ambiguous environment, results driven in a business undergoing transformation and growth.
  • Passionate about being part of a forward-thinking and fast-paced Team with high energy and can-do attitude.


Salary Range

$100,000 - $120,000 annually.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
