OverviewAs we continue expanding into existing and new geographies globally, we are seeking an individual with the ability to manage and drive consistency on the portfolio of projects. The Global Datacenter Delivery Portfolio Director will direct and oversee the operational activities of the Global Datacenter Delivery (DCD) team in alignment with the objectives for Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) Organizations. This includes planning and overseeing Safety, Quality, predictable construction execution, policies, procedures, and Corporate goals for deployment of new capacity globally. The candidate will generally operate as the Global Datacenter Construction second in command, reporting to the Vice President, Global Datacenter Construction and will focus on the operationalization of the defined strategy. This role will be to enhance the leadership globally and provide greater bandwidth with respect to standardization and troubleshooting across the Datacenter Delivery (DCD) team. This role will also be responsible for DCD Operations delivery to the Safety and Quality expectations, as well as schedule and cost oversight for predictable construction delivery globally. The candidate will also work closely and liaise with the Global DCD Regional and Sub-Regional Leads, as well as Global Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) leads and EPC Central Functions lead to enhance innovation and promote cross functional learnings for continuously improving project delivery. ResponsibilitiesDriving health and safety across the organization as a core value.Assessing and minimizing risks to the business through Global Construction delivery execution strategy decisions in close collaboration with the Global EPC functionsReviewing overall construction cost management and Purchase Expenditure Request (PER) values for the Region to ensure project is performing as expected and that forecasts are accurate for additional funding requests.Assessing and supporting the work of the Regional and sub-regional teams with respect to project delivery under the 5 main pillars of Safety, Quality, Schedule Performance, Cost Management and Environmental/Community engagement targeting consistency across the region. Implement consequent actions to improve/recover in coordination with the VP, Global Datacenter ConstructionWorking in partnership with regional supply chain to onboard new members.Support the regional construction lead with effective onboarding of the new employees.Assessing and tracking the performance of the Global Datacenter construction team and supporting the team in successfully reaching its goals.Performing constructability review during the early design phase.Monitoring delivery performance and developing plans to improve in line with strategic objectives.Working closely with the EPC functional teams to support the development of a backward pass construction schedule that enables predictable and on-time delivery of capacity to meet the Customer Need Date. This includes an understanding of permit and power availability to ensure effective construction mobilization timeline and Integrated Systems Test (IST) delivery.Working with the cost and estimating teams to develop budgets to ensure that the projects have all the resources required to meet their objectives within agreed financial parameters.Leading and motivating staff to achieve organizational objectives.Empowering the DCD team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete delivery initiatives.Provide support and undertake safety walks and reviews across projects as required and on a regular basis.
