We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist II at one of our Perinatal Practices in Panama City, FL. This position performs ultrasound examinations for both low and high-risk obstetrics. Ultrasounds performed daily include anatomical survey, serial cervical length evaluations, nuchal translucency screening, biophysical profiles, and other specialized studies.

Responsibilities
      Perform ultrasounds (1st Trimester, anatomy, multiple gestations, biophysical profiles, limited ultrasounds, follow up ultrasounds, complete and detailed, abdominal and/or vaginal approaches as necessary).
    • Assist with or provide sonoguidance for amniocentesis.
    • Perform vessel Doppler velocimetry.
    • Review patient history and referring physician's orders
    • Explain ultrasound procedure to patient
    • Evaluate images for their quality to present to interpreting physician
    • Prepare preliminary USS reports for completion by physician
    • Prepare amniotic fluid specimens for shipping.
    • Stock ultrasound room and maintain adequate supplies
    • Keep logs of results books and contact patients with normal amniocentesis results.
    • Create a preliminary sonogram report in a computer database
    • Clean equipment according to OSHA standards.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
    • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security
    • policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Reads and abides by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
    • Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company
    • Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so
Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge of working with high-risk patients
  • Proven proficiency in performing high risk sonograms and amniocentesis
  • Computer skills, including, experience with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records
  • 2-3 years' minimum experience in a similar clinical position

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • ARDMS certified (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • NTQR certified preferred

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office

Certificates and Licenses (if applicable)

  • NTQR certified preferred
